Drift Studies

Join us for a singular gathering of artists and scholars that will include panel discussions and participatory experiments that explore the multiple political, philosophical, and educational potentials of the concept of drift.

Education as Experimentation 4 will involve international scholars from fields including philosophy, anthropology, and studio art, each exploring how drift appears in their individual scholarship and practices. The presentations will be followed by guided experiments that will include the audience in bringing the concept of drift to life.

The symposium is organized by the University of North Texas Onstead Institute for Education in the Visual Arts and Design, with support from the Departments of Art Education and Philosophy and Religion.
