Evan Blackwell, 2021-22 Onstead Institute – Meadows Museum Fellow

Evan BlackwellEvan Blackwell is in the Art History 4+1 Graduate Track Program in the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design and graduates with a B.A. in Art History and minor in LGBTQ Studies in May 2021. Pursuing an M.A. in Art History with a minor in Art Education, Blackwell also is pursuing a Graduate Academic Certificate in Art Museum Education. Blackwell has participated in the Professional Development Internship of the Association of Research Institutes in Art History, and interned at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas, and worked for The MAC, a Dallas non-profit art gallery, as the gallery assistant. Blackwell’s interests include social webs of art and art history and how social context, social justice, and art are interconnected and can be used to introduce individuals to ladders of ideas.
